About Our New Technology

Mar 13, 2018

In Welcome To The Digital Age For The Dentist!, we introduced some of our new pieces of technology in the office of our dentist. At Lifetime Smiles, we’re proud to have new digital technology that will help you feel more at ease when you come to the dentist. Many people feel a fear of going to the dentist because of the examination and the overall anxiety of objects being used to poke around their mouths. We understand that dental phobia is a real thing and we’ll do what we can to help you avoid feeling that anxiety. We do this by offering sedation dentistry to help you calm down. In addition to helping you relax during your dental appointment, we also offer restorative, general, pediatric, orthodontics, cosmetic, and sleep dentistry. Why We Decided To Buy New Technology

It’s important as a dentist to be as up-to-date as possible with our technology, resources, and tools. Due to wanting to be as up-to-the-minute as possible, we decided to make a few investments in new pieces of technology. While we are current with our technology, we wanted to utilize newer models to make your life easier as well as ours. By being as current in technology as we can, we’re helping you get into your appointment in a timely manner and out of it without feeling any anxiety.

We are also making sure that our diagnosis is much more thorough and our treatment plans are effective. While current dentistry allows us to fill cavities and target areas that may have gum disease, with technology, we’re able to give you an exact diagnosis and see areas in your mouth that we wouldn’t ordinarily see. When we came to the conclusion to purchase new equipment, we wanted to give you better oral health and create better treatment plans that will leave you with healthy and sparkling pearly whites.

Our New Pieces Of Digital Technology

Now that you know why we purchased new pieces of equipment for our dental office, it’s time to see what exactly we invested in. We’re happy that we are now about to give more precise diagnoses and create prevention methods to allow you to have healthier teeth. What’s even better about us getting new equipment is that we’re one of the few dentists in the Austin area that has these new pieces of equipment. We invested in these revolutionary pieces of digital technology to make it more affordable and easier to access dental care. Below you’ll find each of the pieces of new equipment we have and what they can do for you.

Digital Internal Scanner For 3D Dentistry

The digital internal scanner for 3D dentistry is a great way to view your entire mouth. This piece of equipment helps to see any oral issues that might be going on and figure out how to diagnose them before they get too out of control. This new piece of equipment is painless for the client because all they need to do is stand there and patiently wait for the images to be taken so we can see any oral issues that might be causing you discomfort.

HD Intra-Oral Cameras

The HD intra-oral cameras allow us to see more thoroughly into your mouth to figure out why you may be feeling discomfort in your mouth. These cameras will let us see tiny problems that are affecting your oral health. What’s neat is that the cameras are hooked up to a TV, so that we can view all of your teeth easily, painlessly, and effectively.

Intra-Oral Digital Scanner

We also have an intra-oral digital scanner. The intra-oral digital scanner is different from the digital internal scanner for 3D dentistry. This piece of equipment allows the dentist to see more impressions of your teeth in digital form. In addition, it perfects the general standard of care and makes it much more specific and all around efficient.

CT Scan – 3D Imaging

The CT Scan – 3D Imaging helps to take images of your mouth that will allow us to see exactly what’s going on and that normal dental measures may have been missed. This piece of equipment makes it easier to diagnose sleep apnea as well as make it more accurate for implants and full mouth rehabilitation. Most dental offices in the country don’t have access to this piece of equipment.
